Angel Cat
(for Kat)
Two shining stars, like jewels from winter’s sky,
all matched her eyes of bluest grey. A stray
cat made her residence beneath a automobile and she or he
was quiet. People, too concerned with ideas,
by no means noticed these uncommon jewels from winter’s sky—
the angel cat that lived beneath a automobile.
She’d sit and watch a scene of passing legs–-
her face was like a masks that’s carved from snow.
She wore two pairs of mittens and a bib
that’s constituted of delicate white fur to maintain her heat.
The cat was quiet, but hungered for love,
till I checked out her and noticed her eyes—
the shining stars that glowed beneath the automobile.
I walked over to the cat and supplied
my hand to greet her. The angel cat got here
beside me, trusting me to take her residence.
Her cat-like magic danced round my legs—
she encircled me, giving all her belief.
Standing so proud, she adored consideration
as I stroked her delicate white and ginger coat.
But I needed to depart and walked up the trail.
In silence, she watched her good friend disappear—
a stray cat made her residence beneath a automobile
and she or he was quiet, but hungered for love.
I handed her by, however by no means noticed the cat—
the angel cat that lived beneath a automobile.
Then days later, she ran over to me,
so puppy-like, so happy to see her good friend.
Her cat-like magic danced round my legs–
she encircled me, giving all her belief.
She beloved to be caressed. She stood so proud
as I stroked her delicate white and ginger coat.
She mewed for adoption, however l mentioned, “No.”
She adopted me and thru the opened door,
her cat-like magic danced round my legs.
I shouted, “No,” after which, with no struggle,
she slowly backed away. No cries, no purrs.
I went as much as my flat earlier than she fled—
a stray cat made her residence beneath a automobile
and left with out her human’s love or belief.
Days later, I noticed her beneath the automobile—
her head was ripped, lacking a piece of flesh,
her mind—uncovered, and concern destroyed her smile.
Her eyes of bluest grey had misplaced their shine.
She noticed what occurred. Sadness knew the reality.
I mentioned I used to be sorry and for the final time,
I left her there and headed upstairs.
forgot in regards to the kitten till now—
two shining stars, like jewels from winter’s sky,
all matched her eyes of bluest grey. A stray
cat used to make her residence beneath a automobile
and she or he was quiet, but hungered for love.
I handed her by, however by no means noticed the cat—
the angel cat that lived beneath a automobile.
