When the Primal Hunting Instinct was Too Strong to Resist, and My Mouse Ended Up Dead

by KiWi from http://www.poetryandpastry.wordpress.com

Your pink nostril lifted within the air,

Your broad eyes glint (re-catching gentle).

A shudder ripples by way of your hair –

You odor him! (It is late at night time)

Curious, as is a feline’s gained’t,

You pad alongside the cool, comfortable sofa.

Seeking the earthly, tempting scent,

You peer down; you stoop; you crouch.

You spied him helpless. (Or so I noticed,

Though actually you felt little pity)

You prolonged a hooked, questioning paw

In the fascinated means of kitties.

The relaxation, I suppose, is historical past;

Back to my mattress the Guilty slinked.

You curled and purred proper subsequent to me.

How can I blame you on your intuition?

For cats should do what cats should do,

And the rats should run away.

I can’t be grieved on your design,

But just for twisted DNA.
