Feline Mystery
Sometimes, the thriller of a cat lies
within the luminescence of its eyes,
the blue, inexperienced or amber sparks
because it finds its method house at midnight.
At different occasions, it’s the contact of a whisker
because it passes by with no whisper.
Through an open window, there’s a whisper
of leaves within the willow, underneath which lies
my fastidious cat, cleansing her whiskers.
The inexperienced of the leaves displays in her eyes
and a flicker of daylight invades the darkish
shadows, igniting her fur with a spark.
Sometimes, we catch a glimpse of their sparks,
their feline souls, after they purr and we whisper,
soothing within the tranquillity of the darkish.
We delight within the heat of a cat because it lies
in our lap, the glow of the stare from its eyes,
and the contented quiver of its whisker.
In the center of a dream, I’m woken by a whisker
tickling my face. I’m greeted by a spark
from a pair of luminous, unblinking eyes,
a velvet nostril and a mild whisper
of a purr that by no means tells me lies
or makes empty guarantees at midnight.
Sometimes, a cat crosses the road at midnight
and is missed by a automobile, simply by a whisker.
We’re grateful once we see that it lies
underneath a streetlight, lit by a spark
of luck, one among its 9 lives. We whisper
our thanks, with tears in our eyes.
My cats are true pals, in my eyes;
they brighten my life each time it’s darkish
and are available to me after I name or whisper,
with by no means a twitch of an ear or a whisker.
In my coronary heart, my cats have ignited a spark
that burns with a love that by no means lies.
With their stunning eyes and delicate whiskers,
