My lovely Bengal simply handed away two weeks in the past. Her title was Puma and I’ve been her mother for the final 6 years.
I’ll at all times keep in mind the day we first noticed her. She was in Petco and the signal mentioned she was 10 years outdated and declawed. I used to be like, “Who needs a ten yr outdated, declawed cat?”. Then she checked out us. At first, she was my ex-husbands cat. She beloved rubbing her face towards his beard..then he shaved it off and bought irritated along with her. Anyway, one night time, she ran head first into the closed Catio door; I picked her up and gave her kisses saying, “Are you okay?”. She was my cat from then on. The Ex left and the cats and I moved many occasions. While on this trailer, Puma made buddies with the wall heater and talked to it. She even launched her little sister to it.
As she bought older, and sicker..I do know notice..she exhibited some bizarre habits.. like this.
She would put herself in corners along with her head towards the wall.
Two weeks in the past, she vomited the entire night time.. principally bile and wouldn’t eat or drink the subsequent morning. She was so weak, she may barely stand..so I took her to the vet.
I misplaced my lovely, 16 yr outdated to Liver Failure however I maintain onto the recollections.
The look she would give me once I went to choose her up, how she would put her head on my shoulder and her paws round my neck, how she would intimidate my different cat when she picked on the kittens, when she would wake herself up by yelling and once I requested why would have a look at me like I did it, how she would run up and down the hallway and beloved enjoying along with her favourite toy..in addition to all the opposite inexperienced ones. I don’t consider cats are colour blind.
While no cat lives ceaselessly, Puma gave me a lot pleasure.
Please think about giving older animals an opportunity to allow them to have one of the best final years of their lives.
